I know how hard it is to care for someone in persistent pain. I’ve been the caregiver, and I’ve been the one in pain. I understand how overwhelming it can feel.

For twenty years I’ve worked with people in pain—clinically, academically, and one-on-one. I hold a PhD in medical sociology studying chronic pain management, and I’ve learned what strengthens healing and what strengthens the relationship.
